AccountAbility, an internationally recognized advisory services and standards firm, recipient of awards from Forbes, Financial Times, and Capital Finance International, convened a distinguished panel of senior industry leaders to discuss the changing role of the chief sustainability officer. The Q&A session took place during the Accountability in a Sustainable World Quarterly Conference, the largest virtual climate finance event during Climate Week NYC.

Moderated by AccountAbility CEO, Mr. Sunil (Sunny) A. Misser, the panelists underscored the role and importance of sustainability in an effective business strategy; the dynamics among CSOs, the CEO, and other members of the senior management team; the skills required to instill, inspire, and action innovation across organizations; and much more.

Joining Misser in this discussion are Mr. Noel Kinder, Former Chief Sustainability Officer at Nike; Ms. Amy Springsteel, Former Chief Sustainability Officer of Bloomberg and a member of the AccountAbility Standards Board; and Ms. Carmen Villar, Vice President of Public Affairs of Gilead Sciences.

A lightly-edited transcript of the Q&A appears in the March 2025 issue of Accountability in a Sustainable World Quarterly.
