About this Training
To support the practical application of the AA1000SES v3 and meaningful stakeholder engagement practices, AccountAbility is launching the Certified Stakeholder Engagement Practitioner (CSEP) training program.
The CSEP certification provides practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of the AA1000SES v3 and the skills required to design and implement structured, practical, and credible engagement strategies that generate meaningful impact.
All CSEP Certified Practitioners will be listed on AccountAbility's website and receive a CSEP badge for professional use in email signature, LinkedIn, and other materials.

Foundations of the AA1000 Series & Stakeholder Engagement

Introduction to the AA1000 Series of Standards, the four AccountAbility Principles, and the fundamentals of Stakeholder Engagement.
The AA1000SES v3 in Practice (Phases 1, 2, and 3)

An interactive experience of applying the AA1000 SES v3 to build a stakeholder engagement approach, step-by-step, from start to finish for a real-world case study scenario. This session will focus on Phases 1-3.
The AA1000SES v3 in Practice (Phases 4 and 5), Engagement Risk, & Organizational Readiness
1 October 2026, Thursday
2:00pm – 4:30pm BST; 9:00am – 11:30am EST
A continuation of Module B, practical case studies focusing on Phases 4-5. Applies the AA1000SES v3 to risk diagnostics and organizational readiness checks, using scenario and case study analysis.
Special Session: Utilities Spotlight
Sept 29 – Oct 1, 2026
This initial CSEP training session will be tailored to the utilities industry. Case studies, workshops, and scenario exercises throughout the training modules will draw on utilities-specific context, regulatory environments, and examples.
Suggested attendees for this session: Sustainability/ESG and stakeholder engagement leads, regulatory affairs and public policy teams, community and customer engagement managers, and infrastructure/capital-program stakeholder leads at utilities and energy companies
